At the risk of seeming sanctimonious and facetious, “an accessory you appreciate” for roleplaying is for me, simply…. the dice. Those varied polyhedral dice have been the key to so much joy and imagination for me over the years that I think it’s easy to overlook them.

An accessory is exactly what dice are to the roleplayer. Arguably, we don’t really need them to imagine our worlds – and there are plenty of games and gamers who have banished dice from the table – but I’ve always enjoyed the sensation of dice in my hands.
Here’s to the humble collection of dice… of which I’ve photographed the ones languishing in a dice tray in the hobby room. Versatile and appreciated, raise a glass in their honour.
Game on!

I had never seen these hex dice before, they look awesome! It looks like they are “megahex” dice from SJG?

Sadly it looks like only 2 of them come in a bag, and with 2 other dice I wouldn’t care about…

Yup, those are the dice. I got them via a Kickstarter when they were originally designed and ordered more than two.
