In a surprise delivery today, “Wrath & Glory” arrived. This was largely unexpected because the order details on Cubicle 7’s website suggest that it hasn’t been dispatched yet. So that was nice.

Following on from the notes the other day, I have been reading further and really like the core mechanisms of the game. It’s a D6 dice pool system that draws on the Warhammer 40,000 tabletop traditions of rolling high. The Wrath Die works a lot like Savage Worlds’ Wild Die, except there’s no exploding. All in all, it’s pretty neat.
I like the idea of running a group of Imperial Guardsmen through some terrifying Genestealer Cult action. I could also see room for Hive Ganger Scum teaming up to deal with local Chaos Cultists, perhaps with the aid of a renegade Inquisitor. Plus, there’s the idea of playing an Ork warband and seeing how long we can survive against Space Marines.
Suffice it to say, I have long enjoyed the Imperium of Mankind as a setting and this game has reignited some long-dormant ideas. I wonder if anyone else could be tempted to play?
Game on!
Going thru some early Gaunts Ghosts missions comes to mind too.
Such a wealth of ideas and opportunities in the 40k setting
