Raiding in Fellmyr

First, big news: Justin Alexander’s new book has sold out the first printing. That news prompted me to get back to reading it and I am most of the way. Second, the MeetUp group is set to run a first session this month and after hearing back from the chaps, I’ve decided to run an Open Table session in Fellmyr.

The scenario is titled, “Raid on the Muddy Wretch” and will feature the Alexandrian’s Raid scenario from the book applied to playing the Dungeon Fantasy RPG in Fellmyr. The set-up is a small group of adventurers from Hargrave being hired to capture (or kill) a local criminal who is holed up at the Muddy Wretch roadhouse.

I’ve already sketched out the floorplan for the Muddy Wretch and I’ve asked for Roleplay Rescue Discordians to create some low-powered adventurers for use at the table. I plan to offer a selection of pre-gen characters so that anyone can drop into the game session. No experience required!

On top of that, I am excited because I’m finally admitting to myself that while I do deeply enjoy the immersive in-character as-character experience at the table as a player, I also love the idea of running a tactical and action-focused raid scenario. I think there is a happy spot where we can have deep characters and challenging adventures all at the same time.

All I need now is some willing players and a little bit of prep.

Game on!
