GURPStalk

This week we launched the GURPStalk podcast, a collaboration between myself and Patrick Mullen who is a long-time GURPS Game Master and newfound friend. The show is where we talk about GURPS – the Generic Universal Role-Playing System published by Steve Jackson Games – and using it to run long-form roleplaying campaigns.

Both Pat and myself are interested in the methodology of in-character as-character roleplaying. We plan to discuss topics arising from using the GURPS game system which are aimed at intermediate users of the rules who wish to progress towards deeper and more immersive role-play in whatever fictional worlds they imagine.

While I have a wide range of interests and preferences, talking to Pat and thinking about how I can utilise GURPS Fourth Edition as a rules system is parallel to my own exploration charted in Roleplay Rescue. But GURPStalk is aiming to be more specific and rooted in practical questions of “how to” get the most from GURPS.

GURPStalk has an introductory episode right now and the plan is to release bi-weekly 30-minute episodes that we aim to record in batches. You can find the show on all major podcatching apps but the main links are:

Game on!
