When MJ Hiblin redesigned the Roleplay Rescue logo, I knew that I wanted to get him to do other pieces of art. During a recent visit, we had a chat about a science-fiction version of Mystocles and, well, he went and drew one.

The blend of different classic SF themes in the image sent me right back to my old Traveller books. Sometimes a single image is all it takes to inspire some play.

I don’t know whether anyone else will enjoy the images, but there’s a lot of fun to be had in exploring different genre takes on the same character. I’m wondering what a Horror version might look like.

In the meantime, this is Astrocles – as named by GM Shadow on our Discord – and I hope you like him.
